So many variations – a bit of orange in the cookie and glaze; more lemon, maybe lime; blueberries perhaps. Poppyseeds would be good. But start with them plain and simple like this, because they’re really wonderful.
You’re so right about all the variations! And that gives me a convenient excuse to make another batch.
